This location allows you to vacation on Cape Cod your way. Want to spend a day at the beach soaking in sunshine and surf? Within 2 miles of the cottage, there’s no shortage of beautiful iconic beaches with calm waves on the ocean side in Yarmouth, or head to the bay side in Yarmouth Port or Dennis for the perfect sunset. 

 

Minutes to famous ocean beaches with a view that goes on for miles, we recommend Seagull Beach and Thatcher’s Beach. Seagull Beach is the largest and most popular beach in Yarmouth. It is located on Nantucket Sound and is an immaculate beach with clean sand that is ideal for swimming, windsurfing, and beach games. Despite its name, it is home to very few seagulls! It has a well-stocked snack bar, outdoor shower, foot shower, clean restrooms and there is a large parking lot with the option to pay by the day.

 

Thatcher’s Beach, with its calm water and small waves, makes it a great place to relax for the day and enjoy the view. There is no lifeguard on duty. There is some parking available and a daily parking fee or beach parking sticker is required. Beach chairs are provided with the rental. Rinse off on the home’s outdoor shower after an enjoyable beach day.

 

What’s Nearby

There are plenty of ways to head out and entertain everyone from this home in Yarmouth – from active outdoor adventures to rainy day fun. You’ll find arcades, go-karts, bowling, indoor play centers and summer baseball. It’s just a short drive from the home to several golf courses, mini-golf, and exploring the Cape Cod Rail Trail by bike. Grab a ferry to the islands, go on a Whale Watcher’s cruise, take a scenic tour, go fishing on a charter cruise, rent water toys and try your hand at kayaking on Bass River, get washed away at the Inflatable Park, parasail above the ocean. Get fresh produce at farmer’s markets, visit a Pirate museum, and dine some of Cape Cod’s best restaurants. Yarmouth brings all the attractions of Cape Cod within reach, and this home is close to it all.

 

Or venture out for the day in any direction and explore the rest of what Cape Cod has to offer. Art and nature museums, boutiques, art galleries, fine dining, live theater, live music on the green, all line the meandering historic route 6A on the bay side, with its historical houses and trees that have been here since the Revolution.

 

Drive up to the tip of the Outer Cape and explore the dunes, or spend a festive day in P-town. Visit a winery in Truro, have the freshest seafood caught that day at any of the clam shacks or fantastic restaurants on the way home.

 

Head to Hyannis to sample craft beer, visit the Maritime or JFK Museum, walk the marina and visit local artist shanties, enjoy cocktails, lunch or dinner and live music at night. Sample local ice cream at a different parlor every day.

 

About the home

If you feel like relaxing at home for the day, this house is complete with superb spaces for chillin’ and grillin’, soaking in the sun (or shade) with a cocktail or good book, slurping popsicles in a yard that’s perfect for game playing (Cornhole included). The outdoor dining table has a privacy fence and fairy lights and seats 6. There are plenty of adirondack chairs for relaxing. Grab a nap in the shade in the hammock.

 

Binge watch movies at night in the comfy and cozy living room. In the mornings, eat breakfast in - the dining table seats 6  - before you start the day. The rooms have been beautifully refreshed, and it’s hard not to imagine drifting into sweet sleep at the end of a busy day in these lovely bedrooms. 

 

The 3 bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. One bedroom with a queen bed (sunflower decor) has a full bath (shower only). One bedroom with a queen bed shares a bath in the hallway with another bedroom with 2 twins and 1 set of mini bunk beds.

 

Whether you prefer active outdoor activities or simply soaking in the sun at home, your family will find plenty of things to do at “It’s Time for the Cape!”

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $250.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $250.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
